These are the answers for Translation, Reflection, and Rotation!
- 1-The answer is 3 because when you substitute the problem in it will look like (5+3,1-4). This will then solve to (8,-3) and the answer choice that matches this is answer choice 3.
- 2-The answer will be (0,3),this is because you move down 2 units and right 1 unit. You get this from using the coordinate of B and B' and finding the change within these two.
- 3-The answer choice will be 1 because when you use the formula for solving for y=x you switch the x and y coordinates to (5,-1)
- 4-The answer for this is a reflection over the x-axis because when you fold the top of a paper to connect to the bottom you will end up with the two shapes aligning onto each other.
- 5-The coordinates for B' will be (1,-5) and the coordinates for C' will be (-2,3), These coordinates are achieved through using the formula for a 90 degrees rotation is (y,-x). This is done by flipping the x and y coordinates, multiply the x value by -1. This will leave us with the coordinates above.
- 6-The coordinates of A' will be (1,-3), we arrive at this coordinate by using the formula for 180 degrees rotations which is (-x,-y). When you subtitute it in it will look like (-(1),-(-3)). The 1 will become -1 and the two negative will cross out and -3 will become 3.
